Aberystwyth Aberaeron Whitesands Newgale Freshwater West Freshwater East Manobier

Manobier

Manobier works as a right hand point at high tide with waves breaking over sand and rocks. As the tide drops becomes more like a beach break. Needs a decent swell and light northerly winds.

Freshwater East

Freshwater East is a sheltered beach which works on big southwesterly swell when it is offshore.

Freshwater West

Freshwater West is a consistent bay with a central beach break area. Its needs a clean swell and winds from the northeast to south to work well. Works on all tides except high tide. Strong rip currents.

Newgale

Newgale is a sand and shingle beach which works at all stages of the tide suitable for beginners.

Whitesands

Whitesands Bay is a beach break which works best as the tide is going out towards low tide.

Aberaeron

Aberaeron is a point break which works on big southerly swells.

Aberystwyth

Aberystwyth has a few good breaks in the town: Harbour Trap - a right, Queens - a low tide right and to the north in Borth there is a beach break which is good for beginners.
